The little birdhouse that came from my childhood home now sits in our backyard.

A few birds poked their beaks in this summer, but none settled in.

It looked so lonely and birdless especially on a foggy morning, that I felt I needed to do something for this old house.

So on a perfect sunny day, I enjoyed sitting at the picnic table while I worked on the makeover.

Here is the BEFORE….

And, here is the AFTER!

this old birdhouse

I already had a tiny bird from the dollar store who needed a home.

The door frame is an empty picture frame, and I made the “Welcome Fall” sign from bits of paper.

I took real leaves and cut them into itty bitty leaves.

Moss is perfect for the lawn on this property.

All the leaves, sticks and berries came from the yard.

A shell holds red mountain ash berries and some blue bird berries that grow on the fence.

Welcome Fall

THE MOON SHINES OVER ALL HOUSES, GREAT AND SMALL.
